Our summer time barrel pick for this year is Bardstown Bourbon Company's Origins Rye!!! We were given the opportunity to pick one of only a couple of the allocated barrels of BBC Origins Rye in the state of Illinois! This is a unique barrel pick that you won't find just anywhere. Six of our Brown Water Society members went to the distillery in Bardstown and picked from 4 possible barrels. Ours is extremely rich and complex, and since Bardstown ages their rye whiskey in the famous "zebra barrels" which consist of both Infrared cherry toasted wood, and toasted white oak, it gives off an amazing sweetness very similar to some of your favorite toasted bourbons. Look for notes of rich baking spices, deep dark fruits, sweet bakery goods, and light spice. Being a single barrel pick, Bardstown bottled this one at cask strength!

We picked it as a group of friends, for our friends. In fact, that's what we called this pick, "For Our Friends," so grab a bottle now and share a pour with a friend!

*Bottes are not at the brewery as of 6/25/25 and are expected to come in July. We're hoping to sell Pre-Orders to offset the cost of the bottles when they arrive, so we appreciate your pre-order. We'll notify you via email and in the BWS Facebook group when the bottles arrive, and you can then pick up anytime during normal business hours. If you can't make it during business hours, we're happy to accommodate. Also, a friend may pick up your bottle for you.

$79.99 plus tax ($5.99) and cc fee ($3), so $88.98 total. Includes an Old Fashioned made with this Rye at time of pick up!

If you'd like to save the $3 service fee, you can pay cash for your bottles at the brewery during normal business hours.
